Ohio Child Conservation League issues educational grants
The Ohio Child Conservation League announces local 2014 recipients of educational grants:
Alexa Kendig, daughter of Bryan and Lisa Kendig, received an $800 Mildred Biery grant renewal. Kendig attends Texas Tech University, where she is majoring in accounting. Her activities include Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society and Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Representing her is the Buttons and Bows OCCL in Waterford.
Margaret Kroll, daughter of Bill and Debra Kroll of Waterford, received a $1,000 Mildred Biery grant and $1,000 OCCL student loan. Kroll attends Walsh University, where she is majoring in nursing. Her activities include Spanish National Honor Society, Spanish Club, SEARCH, track, cross country, 4-H, class secretary, teacher’s aide, and girl talk leader. Representing her is the Delta OCCL League of Beverly-Waterford.
Olivia Sprague, daughter of Douglas and Janelle Sprague of Fleming, received an $800 Mildred Biery grant renewal and $2,000 leadership grant. Sprague attends Ashland University, where she is majoring in early childhood intervention. Her activities include class valedictorian, Kappa Delta Pi Education Honor Society, Alpha Lambda Delta vice president, Project MORE tutor, Ashland Juvenile Center tutor, and Newman Catholic Campus Ministry. Representing her is the Miracles to Memories OCCL of Beverly-Waterford.
