Bob Jones University

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Stephanie Nutt, of Little Hocking, joined members of the upcoming freshman class as Bob Jones University hosted its first session of summer orientation June 20-21.

Incoming students and their parents became familiar with the campus and attended informational sessions about the BJU experience including academics, financial aid and student life. Students were also able to receive academic and career counsel from faculty and register for their fall classes.

Nutt will be majoring in interior design when classes begin Sept. 3.

Incoming students and their parents became familiar with the campus and attended informational sessions about the BJU experience including academics, financial aid and student life. Students were also able to receive academic and career counsel from faculty and register for their fall classes.

Adkins will be majoring in business administration when classes begin Sept. 3.

Denison University

GRANVILLE – Amy Susan McNerney was among 521 graduates awarded diplomas at Denison University’s 173rd commencement held Saturday, May 17. McNerney, a resident of Marietta, was awarded a degree from Denison by President Adam Weinberg.

McNerney graduated with a major in psychology. She is the recipient of the Denison Founders Scholarship.

Muskingum University

NEW CONCORD – Local students graduated from Muskingum University in New Concord: Cody Heddleson of Caldwell earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science; Lindsay Mullen of Marietta earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics; Katherine Roush of Vincent earned a bachelor’s degree in middle childhood education; Andrew Thompson of Caldwell earned a bachelor’s degree in religion; Andrew Tornes of Vincent earned a bachelor’s degree in English; Myranda Warfield of Marietta earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology; and Ethan Weber of Caldwell earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.

Local students who recently started their studies in Marietta College’s Physician Assistant Graduate Program: Margaret Alden of Newport, Lauren Bosner of Waterford, and Chelsea Rebholz of Marietta.

PORTSMOUTH – Tiffany Stone, of Coolville, earned an associate degree in occupational therapy assistant from Shawnee State University. Commencement was Saturday, May 3.

Wake Forest University

WINSTON SALEM, N.C. – Yang Li, of Marietta, was named to the spring 2014 dean’s list at Wake Forest University. Students who achieve a 3.4 and no grade below a C were named to the list.

Robert Morris University

MOON TWP, Pa. – Robert Morris University recognizes Kendra L Quaintance, of McConnelsville, for being named to the spring 2014 dean’s list. Quaintance is majoring in nuclear medicine technology at the university.

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Martin Orr, Marietta resident and a student at Pratt Institute, was among more than 1,000 students who made the dean’s list in the spring 2014 semester.

Sarah L. Robinson has been named to the President’s List at Coastal Carolina University, Conway, S.C., for her academic achievement during the Spring, 2014, semester. She is a junior majoring in early childhood education, a 2011 graduate of Warren Local High School, and the daughter of Jackie Robinson, Myrtle Beach, S.C., and the late Robin Robinson.
