Catfish fundraiser held for Thad Duvall
A Catfish Fundraiser for Thad Duvall was held on July 19 and 20. First place was the team of Doug Rowland and Alton Rinard. They caught six fish with the total weight of 60 pounds and their largest fish weighing 29 pounds. Second place was John Colvin with six fish with the total weight of 50 pounds. Tied for third were the team of Mathew Bertram and Bryan Nelson and the team of Keinze Clark and Brett Neader. Both teams caught fish totaling 7l. The fundraiser brought in 44 fishermen and raised over $1000 to help off the cost of his trip to the ISDE in Italy.
The second Fishing for Thad Duvall Catfish Tourney will be held Aug. 2 and 3. Registration will be at the Williamstown boat ramp on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. Check in will be at 8 a.m. on Sunday at the Williamstown boat ramp The cost is $40 per two-person team and $25 for a single. The winner will receive 25 percent of money collected. There will be a prize for largest fish. There will also be a kids tourney. The event is to help fund his trip to Argentina to race the ISDE for team USA
