The 12th annual Williams reunion was held June 22 at the Matamoras pool shelter with 80 family and friends attending. Prayer was given by Ruby Shafer. Music was provided by Gerald Erb.
Those recognized were Rodney and Marilyn Leach from Christmas, Fla., traveling the farthest. Shirley Williams was the oldest female. Frank Prestendrea was the oldest male. The youngest was Troy Erb, 3 months old of St. Marys, W.Va.
The door prize winner was Jimmy Riley of Marietta. Games for children were enjoyed with water balloons by Shay Dunn, face painting by Lionel Gore and Riley Murphy. An Incredible Hulk pinata was made by Carol Smith with Bill Williams helping with the game. The auction was done by Stephanie Williams. Balloons were made for children by Harlen Flesher Sr. of Parkersburg. Grilling was done by Bill Williams.
Next year’s reunion will be held at the same location on the fourth Sunday in June 2015.
The 68th annual reunion for descendants of the Nicholas and Philomena Bauerbach family was held July 13 at Our Lady of Mercy social hall. There were 84 in attendance at the dinner reunion.
The Paul and Mildred Bauerbach family served on this year’s committee. The 2015 reunion will be held on the second Sunday of July with the Albert and Eleanor Arnold family serving on the committee.
