An officer investigated a theft at 134 Gross St. Thursday. The matter was resolved by the involved parties.

Reports/Washington County

A manager at United Rentals, at 1205 Pike St., Marietta, reported Wednesday that he recently determined that a customer that rented a generator in late May using his employer’s name did not deliver the generator to his employer and likely took it for his personal use. The customer has not made any rental payments for the generator, which is valued at approximately $2,000.

Gary W. Mueller, 71, of 2265 Sandhill Road, Marietta, reported Wednesday he found 12 bags of household trash on his property near mile marker four on Sandhill Road.

Karen Coe, 63, of 10557 State Route 555, Cutler, reported Wednesday that her neighbor, Jeffrey D. Wear, 44, of 10595 State Route 555, Cutler, is in violation of a protection order she has against him. According to the order, Wear is not permitted within 500 feet of Coe and is barred from staying at his home. Coe stated Wear has been at his home every day since the order was issued. A deputy requested a warrant for Wear for violating the terms of a protection order. He was later arrested for the offense.

Deputies responded Wednesday to the scene of death of an 82-year-old Palmer Township resident. The woman’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.

Tabitha Way, 32, of 29465 State Route 7, Marietta, reported Wednesday that four suboxone strips were stolen from where she hid them in a toolbox in a friend’s vehicle that was being stored in her garage.

Matthew S. Taylor, 18, of 909 Staunton Turnpike, Parkersburg, was arrested Thursday for underage consumption of alcohol. While investigating a report that a stolen ATV may be at 2346 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, Anderson encountered Taylor who had an odor of alcohol and bloodshot eyes. Taylor admitted consuming beer.

Arrests/Washington County

The following people were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:

Kelly S. Goins, 34, of 1917 Rabbit Goins Lane, Malta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Goins was picked up at the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail and processed into the Washington County Jail Wednesday.

Jerrianne K. Myers, 21, of 705 Montgomery St., Marietta, was arrested Wednesday for two misdemeanor counts of failure to appear.

Jeffrey D. Wear, 44, of 10595 State Route 555, Cutler, was arrested Thursday for two misdemeanor counts of violating the terms of a protection order.

Bradly S. Loyland, 27, of 968 Braun Road, Belpre, was arrested Thursday for theft and for obstructing official business, both misdemeanors.

Tiffany A. Pendergrass, 25, of 303 White Oak Valley, Princeton, W.Va., was arrested Thursday for obstructing official business, a misdemeanor.

Tamisha W. Lowe, 38, of 2940 W. 31st St., Brooklyn, N.Y., was arrested Thursday for obstructing official business, a misdemeanor.

Xavier Freeman, 37, of 502 Marcy Ave., Brooklyn, N.Y., was arrested Thursday for human trafficking, possession of drugs, compelling prostitution and promoting prostitution, all felonies.

Shaasia O. Jones, 23, of 2487 Davidson Ave., Brooklyn, N.Y., was arrested Thursday for complicity in human trafficking, complicity in compelling prostitution and complicity in promoting prostitution, all felonies.

Reba S. Grahovac, 23, of 448 Jenkinjones Mountain Road, Anawalt, W.Va., was arrested Friday for possession of drug abuse instruments, a misdemeanor.
