Matter of Balance — eight week class beginning Tuesday, from June 6 to Aug. 1, 5 to 7 p.m. Don’t let your fear of falling keep you from enjoying activities. This evidence based program, developed through a grant from the Administration on Aging and developed by the Ohio Department of Aging, is now available. The purpose of this 8 week program is to help older adults reduce their fear of falling, thereby enhancing activities levels. Falls are not a normal part of aging, and most falls can be prevented! The class is free and open to the public. Please call to register as class size is limited.

Healthy “U” Thursdays, 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., beginning June 8 — free 6 weeks of classes. Take control of your chronic disease, learn relaxation, better eating habits, and how to communicate more effectively with doctors. Class size is limited so please make your reservation early.. Each class is 2¢ hours and includes a break to enjoy some healthy refreshments. Limited number of attendees, call early to get space saved.

Rock Painting — Monday, June 5, 5 p.m. We are painting rocks to “hide” around Marietta and all of Washington County to spread joy and brighten people’s day. Come join us for this fun activity! This is a community-building group activity, meant to inspire creativity in all ages and energize people to explore the beautiful area we live in. All you have to do is find some rocks and we will provide the painting supplies and then you get creative! This is surprisingly fun for all ages, younger and older. Need inspiration? Search “rock painting” on Pinterest or Google Images to find lots of rock painting ideas, or join us and we will help you select a style that meets your interest and talent level.

Lifeline Presentation by Ohio Consumer Council — Monday, June 19, 12:30 p.m. Learn about recent changes to the Lifeline telephone programs that are available to Ohioans. The presentation will focus on the benefits and how to qualify for the program. Andrew Tinkham, of the Ohio Consumer Council, will come to Marietta to explain the ins and outs of this valuable Lifeline program.

NEW- TAP N Burn – Fridays, 1 p.m., $5 per class, first class free- no special shoes needed, burns calories and fun dance retinues, easy no experience needed, start from the beginning.

New — Personal Manicures & Pedicures by Heather: held on the second Monday of each month, beginning at 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. Heather McCauley comes to us with 30 years of experience with nail care. Manicure and pedicure appointments will each last 30 minutes, you may schedule one or both–all done in the privacy of our health screening room. Cost is $18 for a manicure and $30 for a pedicure. Gel polish is available for an additional $10. Call to schedule your appointment time today. Appointment times begin at 9 a.m.

POUND, exercise workout- POUND is Here at O’Neill Center, Wednesdays, 1 p.m. This first class will be free to all. $5 per class or buy a six-class pass for $25 (getting one class free).

Alzheimer’s Support Group meeting at O’Neill Center, the first Thursday of each month at 2:30 p.m. O’Neill Center Adult Care center ill be open for new clients and with Thursday evening hours they are available until 7 p.m.

Healing a Spouses Grieving Heart: A group discussion on the various issues facing a widow/widower, held on the first Tuesday of each month at 1 to 2:30 p.m.; a support group for the grief of all loses will be held on the fourth Tuesday each month at 3 p.m.

O’Neill Singers: This group of volunteers spread their cheerful voices to all area seniors living homes and practice at the O’Neill Center the first Wednesday and the last Wednesday each month. Call for more information on becoming part of this community volunteer group.

Massage Appointments: First, second and third Friday each month. Call for appointment times and reservations.

Line Dance with Donnie: Day classes Tuesdays, 9:30 a.m., $5.

Beginning Sept 8, evening line dance on Thursdays, 6:30 p.m. Beginners, 7:40 p.m. advanced.

Fun & Fit Exercise Class: Geared to seniors 50+, a fun fitness class using bands, weights and low impact aerobics set to lively music. $12 per month, classes Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 11:30 a.m. to noon. Taught by Candi Hall-Cisler, personal trainer.

Zumba classes: Tuesday and Thursday, 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. $25 for six classes. Becky Lightfritz, ZIN Certified Zumba Instructor. Open to the public all ages. Rhythm Moves, Monday 9 a.m. Wednesday 9 a.m. Dance moves to music, 45-minute class — $3 per class or 6 classes for $15.
