Warren FFA hosts agriscience education student teacher

Each year the Department of Agricultural Communication, Education and Leadership (ACEL) at the Ohio State University sends students to high schools around the state for 12 weeks in order to gain real world experience in the classroom.

This year, the agricultural education program at Warren High School and Warren FFA welcomed student teacher Blake Campbell, a senior in the College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) majoring in agriscience education.

While student teaching at Warren, Campbell is under the guidance of cooperating teacher Allen Clark.

The student teaching program allows Campbell to acquire hands on practice in teaching high school agriculture students.

The Warren FFA has 60 members, that are involved in the different activities and contests the FFA provides such as urban and rural soils judging, dairy judging, and parliamentary procedure. During his experience, Campbell will be teaching a variety of classes and assisting chapter events.

Campbell attended Waterford High School in Waterford.

As a student at Ohio State, he is involved in Agricultural Education Society, president and Outstanding Junior Member; Alpha Zeta Partners; CFAES Ambassador; Buck-I-Serve; volunteer at KIPP Academy; student assistant for CFAES Education Abroad.

Upon completion of his student teaching experience, Campbell will earn his bachelor of science degree in agriscience education.
