Port authority meetings to move about
The Southeastern Ohio Port Authority (SeOPA) Board will hold their board meetings throughout Washington County in 2018. The board and staff have elected to have meetings at various locations in the county in hopes of helping inform the local communities about current and future projects and giving attention to area economic development.
Meetings are scheduled every other month with the Aug. 28 board meeting to be held at 6 p.m. at Waterford High School, 330 Main St., Waterford. All meetings are open to the public and community members are encouraged to attend.
The Port Authority’s Annual Meeting will be an evening meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the newly renovated Ketter Block Building, 204 Front St. The evening will begin with refreshments and networking. Followed by the live roll out of the SeOPA’s newly redesigned website. The meeting will feature an economic development panel discussion comprised of local, regional and state economic development leaders. Attendees are encouraged to join in the question and answer session. Invitations and additional information will follow over the next few months.
The final Port Authority Board Meeting for 2018 will be Dec. 18 at 7:30 a.m. at Washington State Community College, in the Center for Business and Technology, Room 103-105 in order to approve the 2019 budget. All board meetings are open to the public and community members are encouraged to attend.
