Trail Blazers 4-H Club had a meeting on Sept. 19 at 6:30 p.m. at Barlow Fairgrounds. Meeting was called to order at 6:36 p.m. Emily Hoffman led the 4-H pledge and Tessa Haffner led the American pledge. There were 13 members and 11 guests present that day.
Old business – Several reported on the Washington County Fair. Congratulations to all who participated in the fair.
Had a report on the Lemon Shake Stand at the Sternwheeler Festival. Thank you to all that worked.
New business – New sale order, feeder calf grooming rules, weigh in schedule for the Barlow Fair. Check OSU extension or Barlow Fair schedule.
Horses: Open contest show Saturday at 1 p.m.; Sunday at 9 a.m., Cowboy Church at arena bleachers; open pleasure show at 10 a.m.; if stabled must be in by 12 p.m. Thursday.
Tag-in Sept. 25 from 5-8 p.m. for feeder calves.
Shows for feeder calves – Sept. 28 at 8 am..; showmanship follows show.
Sale – Buyer reception starts at 4:30 p.m. and sale starts at 5 p.m.
Pin award applications and trip for 2020 is due at OSU extension office or online is due at the OSU office by Oct. 14.
4-H Year End Celebration is Nov. 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the Washington County Career Center.
The next meeting will be at the Sweet Apple Farm in Vincent on Oct. 26 at 6:30 p.m. for all 4-H members and their families.
