• On Aug. 27, officers responded to 836 Pike St., where a 27-year-old man apparently died from suicide.

• During a search of a vehicle during a traffic stop Aug. 27 in the 600 block of Allen Street, drug paraphernalia, drug abuse instruments and methamphetamine were found. Leroy Clark, of 205 Gibbons Place, Jessica English, of 311 Virginia St. and Justin Tucker, of 809 Front St., were charged.

• On Aug. 28, an officer was dispatched to The Galley, 203 Second St., in reference to a theft. Joshua D. Ott, of 42 Colegate Drive, said items were stolen from his car the night before. The property value is above $1,000. The case remains under investigation.

• Vape Advantage, 106 Putnam St., reported Aug. 28 that the glass door at the business had been damaged.

• Verizon Wireless, 107 Pike St., reported Aug. 28 that a customer who called with a complaint made a statement about shooting up the store. The suspect denied the allegations. This case remains under investigation.

• On Aug. 28, an officer responded to 503 Cisler Lane in reference to a man slashing tires. Wesley R. Kidd said the suspect was there attempting to fight him and when he would not come out of his apartment, he slashed his tires.

• On Aug. 29, officers responded to Selby General Hospital, 1106 Colegate Drive, in reference to naked man masturbating near the entrance. The man fled on foot and officers could not locate him. He was later identified and charges are pending.

• Walmart, 804 Pike St., reported a shoplifter on Aug. 29. A woman took a cellphone cover and concealed it, going past all points of sale. Darian E. Espinoza, of 760 Rauch Road, Waterford, was charged with theft.

• Walmart, 804 Pike St., reported a shoplifter on Aug. 30. It was found that Britni Sargent, of 40605 Marietta Road, Dexter City, had taken 15 items valued at $223.07. She was charged with theft.

• On Aug. 30, Kirk Urban, homeless, was arrested in the 1300 block of Glendale Road for a warrant and obstructing official police business.

• Timothy A. Needs, of 122B Linwood Ave., reported a missing firearm on Aug. 30. This case remains under investigation.

• During a traffic stop Aug. 30 the officer was provided with false information on the driver’s identity. The driver was Anthony Larrison, of 2109 Benedict Road, Fleming, who had an active warrant through the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on a driving under suspension charge. He was arrested and additionally charged with obstructing official business, driving under suspension and marked lanes.

• On Friday, an officer responded to Marietta Municipal Court in reference to probation officers finding a woman in a car in the parking lot in possession of drugs and paraphernalia. The drugs were sent for testing.

• Walmart, 804 Pike St., reported a theft on Friday. A woman collected items from various departments and placed them on a shelf by the lawn and garden center fence. A man on the outside of the fence then took the items and left. The woman has been identified and charges are pending.

• Walmart, 804 Pike St., reported a theft on Friday. A man switched UPC labels on merchandise. A warrant will be issued for his arrest.

• On Friday, an officer responded to the area of Washington Elementary for a report of juveniles stealing items from a car. Leeann A. McCourt, of 1201 County House Lane, told the officer that three male juveniles asked her for a ride to Front Street. When she said no, they grabbed her diaper bag and fled on foot.

• Town House, 230 Front St., reported an intoxicated male refusing to leave on Saturday. Joshua Offenberger, of 1530 Stone Quarry Road, Fleming, was transported to Marietta Police headquarters where he became belligerent and began to scream and kick things while in the holding cell. He was charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication and disorderly conduct cease and desist.

• An officer was dispatched to Putnam Place Apartments on Sunday in reference to a theft from a motor vehicle. Jordan I. Lanning said his stereo system and Playstation had been taken. This case remains under investigation.

• Walmart, 804 Pike St., reported a theft on Sunday. Joseph S. Antill, 41, last known address 709 Phillips St., was charged with theft and Jennifer M. Sturm, 37, last known address 848 Greene St., was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments.

• On Sunday, an officer was dispatched to 724 Front St., in reference to a criminal damaging complaint. During an altercation inside a vehicle, Samantha C. Kisner, of 708 N. Seventh St., said her ex-boyfriend destroyed her cellphone and punched the windshield. He will receive a summons from Marietta Municipal Court on charges of criminal damaging.

• An officer was dispatched to 920 Phillips St. on Sunday in reference to an assault. Barry J. Smithberger, of 146 Acme St., was charged with assault.
