• On Sept. 10, an officer responded to a call regarding the possible physical abuse of a 2-year-old boy in the 300 block of Third Street. Children Services was notified and an investigation is ongoing.

• On Sept. 11, officers were dispatched to 204 E. Montgomery St. to investigate a domestic complaint. Erin Clinger, of that address, was arrested for domestic violence and resisting arrest.

• An officer responded to 301 Putnam St. on Sept. 11 in reference to a theft complaint. Bill Wright Automotive advised someone bought a vehicle with a stolen credit card.

• An employee of Speedway, 433 Second St., reported the use of a counterfeit $20 bill on Sept. 11. The investigation is ongoing.

• On Sept. 11, officers were dispatched to 108 Woodcrest Drive for a possible domestic violence incident.

• On Sept. 12, an officer was dispatched to Fourth and Warren streets for a motor vehicle theft. Officers learned that a man approached a woman exiting her vehicle and demanded the keys. He then wrestled the keys away, causing injuries to her hand. The victim’s father came out and a physical altercation occurred between him and the subject. The suspect threatened to kill the victims at which time they allowed the suspect to flee in the stolen vehicle. A warrant was issued for Jeffrey D. Dugan and he turned himself in to the Belpre Police Department.

• On Sept. 12, as an officer attempted a traffic stop on County House Lane, the driver fled, eventually going well above 100 mph. The pursuit was discontinued and a short time later the vehicle was located where it crashed near the Cedarbark Village apartment complex on Browns Road. A warrant will be requested for the driver, who was visually identified as Tyler E. Goodwin, for failure to comply, reckless operation, no operator’s license and marked lanes violation.

• An officer was dispatched to 702 Fourth St. on Sept. 12 for a domestic violence complaint. Clifford L. Macaulay, of 702 Fourth St., was arrested for domestic violence.

• On Sept. 13, officers were dispatched to 729 Glendale Road in reference to a possible OVI. While the driver was undergoing field sobriety tests, the passenger, Patrick Moran, exited the vehicle to speak with the driver. Moran was told several times to return to the vehicle. He then began to yell from the passenger seat. He was arrested for disorderly conduct cease and desist.

• A counselor at Marietta High School reported a sex crime that had been reported to them. After investigation, Steven R. Smith, of 3300 Ridgewood Court B, was arrested on three counts of sexual battery.

• Baker & Baker Jewelers, 105 Putnam St., reported a shoplifting on Sept. 13. The suspects were located with stolen jewelry in their possesion, as well as stolen merchandise from The Workingman’s Store. Charges are pending.

• Tracy B. Bronson, of 6949 Pleasant Ridge Road, reported a stolen vehicle on Sept. 15. After the report, the victim learned where the vehicle was and it was returned.

• On Saturday, a Titan bike that was recovered from the Muskingum River was turned in to the police department.

• Walmart, 804 Pike St., reported a shoplifter on Saturday. Martha Melrose, of 2346 Federal Road, Little Hocking, was charged with theft. Melrose was in possession of two purses, one belonging to Shannon Mercer, of 1309 15th St., Parkersburg. That purse contained drugs. Mercer was charged with possesion of heroin and drug paraphernalia.

• On Sunday, Ryan Matheny and Jessica Science had a loud verbal argument that escalated to shoving in the driveway of 114 Sunset Lane. Both subjects were cited for disorderly conduct fighting.

• Tyler L. Long, of 922 Front St., reported a stolen vehicle on Monday. He said an unknown subject entered his camper and took the keys from his TV stand, leaving in his Ford F-250 truck.

• On Tuesday, an officer took a report of a juvenile assault. The victim and his father advised that he was with his mother and the suspect at Walmart when the suspect kicked him in the side. The investigation is ongoing.

Warrants/Washington County

• Kristen Lamp, of 1214 Lockwood St., Belpre, for failure to appear.

• Dalton C. Drummond, of 924 Robinson Hill Road, Marietta, for failure to appear. Original charge was breach of recognizance.

• Jennifer Bartlett, of 513 ½ Eighth St., Marietta, for failure to appear.

• Robert Speakman, of Oriana House, Marietta, for probation violation. Original charge was having weapons under disability.

• Jason L. Bartimus, of 2346 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, for contempt. Original charge was domestic violence.

• James Fisher, of 25 Allen St., Little Hocking, for disorderly conduct.

• Kylee N. Lashley, of 192 Fourth St., Lowell, for disorderly conduct.

Arrests/Washington County

The following people were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:

• Jeremiah Lee Dillon, 20, of 119 North Hart St., Apt. 7, Marietta, was arrested for probation violation, a misdemeanor.

• Meranda Dawn King, 24, of 32565 Rose Hill Road, Pomeroy, was arrested for failure to appear, a misdemeanor.

• Kyle Andrew Dent, 25, homeless, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors.

• Johnathan Elwood Porter, 39, of Belle Valley, was arrested on two warrants for drug paraphernalia and falsification of a public official, both misdemeanors.
