¯ On Thursday, a deputy was patrolling when he observed a traffic violation. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and contact was made with the driver, Christopher Perot. Perot appeared to have glassy and bloodshot eyes. He was asked about the condition of his eyes, at which time he admitted to smoking marijuana prior to his travels. Perot was asked to submit to standardized field sobriety, to which he consented, performing poorly on the field sobriety. Christopher Cody Perot, 30, of 310 Greenlawn Road, Lowell, was placed under arrest for driving while under the influence of alcohol/drugs and failure to display valid license. He was transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

The following people were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:

¯ Gregory Alan Haas, 57, address unknown, was arrested for contempt of court.

¯ Richard Lee Elkins, 52, of 1249 Walker St., Mansfield, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, a misdemeanor.

¯ Jeffrey Alan Theiss, 41, of 122A Linwood Ave., Marietta, was arrested for permitting drug abuse, a felony; improper lane usage and driving under suspension, misdemeanors.

¯ Anthony James Curry, 30, of 554 Curry Road, Waterford, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, a felony; driving under suspension and failure to yield at a stop/yield sign, misdemeanors.

¯ Dustin Allen Carpenter, 27, of 105 Gilman Ave., Lot 2, Marietta, was arrested for possession of heroin, a felony.

¯ Jason Lee Myers, 34, of 122 Linwood Avenue, Apt. A, Marietta, was arrested for possession of heroin, a felony.

¯ Christopher Cody Perot, 30, of 310 Greenlawn Road, Lowell, was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol/drugs and failure to display valid license, both misdemeanors.

¯ Debra Brown, 58, of 915 Front St., Marietta, was arrested for failure to register a dog and dog(s) running at large, both misdemeanors.

¯ Deborah Lynn Streight, 60, of 221 S. Sixth St., Marietta, was arrested for obstructing justice and interference with forfeiture, both felonies.
