Local churches plan Vacation Bible School activities

Vacation Bible School

First Presbyterian Church and Christ United Methodist Church in Marietta are teaming up together to present “Marketplace 29 A.D.” Vacation Bible School. Children will step back in time and catch a glimpse of what life was like during Jesus’ time in Jerusalem. Kindergarten thru fifth-graders are invited to attend June 12 to 14 from 9 a.m. to noon. The event will take place at the First Presbyterian Church, 501 Fourth St., Marietta. Registration forms may be picked up at either church.

VBS Kids Day, Tuesday, June 13, 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., ages 4 to 12, lunch provided, Sixth and Washington Streets Church of Christ, 534 Sixth St., Marietta; to register: 740-373-3240.

“Maker Fun Factory — Created by God, Built for a Purpose,” theme of Vacation Bible School, from June 19 to 23 from 9 a.m. to noon each day, at Porterfield Baptist Church; stories, games, snacks and fun for ages 4 through grade 6; church is located at the corner of Schoolhouse Road and Hollywood Drive, Little Hocking; for more information, call the church office at 740-423-8442.

“Babylon: Daniel’s Courage In Captivity,” Vacation Bible School, Wednesday, July 19, through Friday, July 21, at Reno Memorial Christian Church, Ohio 7, Reno; 6 to 8:30 p.m. each evening.
