St. Mark’s to sell ham loaf, cookies

St. Mark’s United Methodist Women’s annual Lucy’s Ham Loaf, Cookie & Candy Sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, in the church fellowship hall, Maple and Third Street, Belpre.

The sale will have 1-pound ham loaf for $8 (limit 2 per person and no pre-orders); cookies at $5/lb; candy $6/lb; a craft table; and a selection of new children’s books.

Beverly church to host community lunch

The Beverly United Methodist Church will have its community lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 25. The church is located at 700 Park St. in Beverly and is handicapped accessible. The menu is turkey or ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, dessert from Lisa’s Sweet Stop and beverage. Call ahead for carryout at 740-984-2100.

Tunnel church to

hold live nativity

There will be a live nativity from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at Tunnel United Methodist Church, Ohio 550 and Coffman Road (behind Warren Volunteer Fire Department). Come out and drive through to enjoy the live animals. Hear Mary and the angel tell the story of the birth of Jesus. Watch the shepherds tend their flocks. Find out when the Wise Men really came. Church sponsoring holiday bus trip

Center Valley Baptist Church of New Matamoras is having a Holiday Bus Trip on Dec. 16. The bus will leave CVBC parking lot at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, and travel to The Highlands (Cabela’s) retail park in Triadelphia, W.Va., for shopping and lunch. The bus will then travel to Oglebay Resort in Wheeling, W.Va., for additional shopping and an on-bus tour of the Winter Festival of Lights. The bus will make one final stop at a fast food restaurant on the return trip to Center Valley Baptist Church. Expect a late return arrival of 11 p.m. or later.

The public is invited to participate in the bus trip. Seats are $25 each. One person to a seat, including children. Seating is limited so early registration is advised. To register or for more information call or text 740-350-8852. Reservations paid before Nov 20th will be confirmed as final. Reservations made after Nov 20 are first come, first served. Your payment must be received before your seat is confirmed. No refunds for no shows.

No alcohol or tobacco is permitted on the bus. Children are the responsibility of their parents.
