St. Luke’s to host Loads of Love

St. Luke’s Lutheran Church of Marietta is sponsoring a “Loads of Love” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at the Wash-&-Go in the Frontier Shopping Center. Bring your laundry and the church will pay and do it for you.

Tunnel UMC hosts potluck at Hervida

The GPS contemporary service at Tunnel United Methodist Church is cancelled for Sunday, Aug. 19. Instead, participants are encouraged to attend the annual potluck picnic and swimming at Camp Hervida, beginning at 12:30 p.m. The GPS service will resume at its regular 11:15 a.m. time the following Sunday, Aug. 26.

Crossroad Messenger to perform in Barlow

The Barlow Library will conclude its summer concert series with the gospel group, Crossroad Messenger. The group will perform at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, at the Barlow Library on Ohio 339. Church to host

88th homecoming

St. Mary’s Fulda invites the public to attend the 88th Annual Labor Day Homecoming Picnic on Monday, Sept. 3.

The day starts with Mass at 9 a.m. and dinner will be served starting at 10:30 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. Carry-out dinners will be available.

There will be a corn hole tournament beginning at 1 p.m., weather permitting. Children and adult games, 50/50 drawing, bingo and refreshment stand will be available all afternoon. Baked goods and homemade noodles will be available for sale in Fancy Stand. There will be two quilts and many cash prizes given away at raffles.

St. Mary’s is located on Fulda Road, seven miles east of Caldwell.

First Baptist Church to host events

First Baptist Church of Marietta will be celebrating 200 years of worship with an open house, an anniversary worship service and a concert, all open to the public.

The open house will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8. The Traditional and Contemporary Alive services will be combined for a 10:30 a.m. anniversary worship celebration on Sept. 9.

The Buckeye Travelers Band concert will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9.
