Little Muskingum Congregational Church is celebrating 175 years of service to Cornerville community
The Little Muskingum Congregational Church in Cornerville on County Road 9 marked its 175th anniversary this year. The church was organized April 15, 1843 in the little community of Cornerville which was settled in 1807 by George and William Corner who emigrated from Macclesfield, England in 1795.
It’s a very small congregation but they hold services every Sunday, beginning with Adult Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. followed by church services beginning at 11 a.m. The public is invited to attend services.
A celebration is being planned in the late spring or early summer next year for the public. The exact date and time will be in the newspaper and flyers will be distributed.
