Marie Turner, 95, of Marietta, passed away on Tuesday (March 12, 2013) at Harmar Place.
She was born on Aug. 19, 1917, in Pittsburgh, Pa., a daughter of Willie and Bertha Heintz Hendershot.
Marie was a homemaker, a member of St. Marys Catholic Church, past member of RSVP and Marietta Senior Citizens.
On Feb. 19, 1938, she married Charles Turner, who preceded her in death on Oct. 7, 1985.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Hetrick and Faith (Kenneth) Gilkeson, all of Marietta; five grandchildren, Kelly Riccobene, Kathleen Gendrachi, Chris Turner, Kim Myers, Fritz Hetrick; nine great-grandchildren; brother, George Hendershot of Fleming; and sister, Paulena Shawver of Riverside, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Charles Turner; one great-granddaughter; four brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday (March 16) at 10 a.m. at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Monsignor Michael Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in New St. Marys Cemetery.
