Myrtle Lou Caldwell

Myrtle Lou Caldwell, born in Parkersburg, on Dec. 26, 1933, died after a brief illness at Marietta Memorial Hospital on Tuesday evening (April 16, 2013).

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Charles Franklin Caldwell of Marietta; and her daughter, Sharon Marie Bleehaus of Watertown, N.Y. She has five nieces, Terry, Sandy, Betsy, Susan and Debra and two nephews, Timothy and Jeffery and brother Gay Wade Jr. living in the west.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Myrtle Jane Shields Wade and Gay Wade, Sr., and sister Irma Jean Wade Harris.

Lou loved being referred to as “Mrs. Charles Caldwell” and worked for several years at Crescent Supply in the office and supported her husband in his memberships in the Civitan and Masons. She was proud of her cooking, sewing, knitting and original needlepoint skills. She was always ready to bake a cake or a pan of brownies for friends and family. Her kind spirit and wise advice will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

Graveside services will be held in Highland Ridge Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
