Albert L. King

Albert L. King, 75, of Lowell, died Tuesday (Sept. 17, 2013) at Heartland of Marietta.

He was born Jan. 21, 1938, in Amity, Pa., son of James Earl and Emma Pearl Temple King. He had worked for 35 years at Fenton Art Glass Company in Williamstown as a plant scheduler. He served in the U.S. Army for six years. He volunteered for many projects for the O’Neill Center for many years. He loved woodworking and made many items for their home both inside and outside. He loved the outdoors, fishing and working in his buildings making things.

He was married Sept. 29, 1964, to Jessie Rubrake King who survives along with two sons, Mark King of Houston, Texas, and Lynn Williams of Jonesborough, Tenn.; several grandchildren; one brother, James Earl King of Washington, Pa.; six sisters, Valerie White, Margaret Tennet and Anna Byers of Washington, Pa., Joyce Blatvheim of Florida and Ruth McKnight and June Ollom of Marietta; several nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law, John; three sisters-in-law, Hazel, Susie and Florence.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Arthur King; and a sister, Bonnie.

A private family service will be held in Greenlawn Cemetery in Lowell with Pastor Robert Tuttle officiating. McCurdy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
