Robert Paul Binegar, 78, of Woodsfield, passed away Friday (Sept. 6, 2013) at his home. He was born Nov. 19, 1934 in Newport, a son of the late Harry Binegar and Margaret Schneider Binegar.

He was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School of Marietta, retired from Ormet Corp., Hannibal, Ohio, a U.S. Marine Corp. veteran, and a member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church of Woodsfield.

Robert greatly enjoyed farming, travel, buying and selling real estate, and was enthusiastic about the oil and gas industry. He maintained a busy lifestyle and loved spending time with family and friends. Most who knew him would agree that he enjoyed a hearty debate. He is survived by his very special companion, Sharon Clift Robinson of Woodsfield; sons, Robert (Bob) Binegar Jr. of Canton and his wife, Julie, Shawn Binegar of Weirton, W.Va., and Dan Binegar of Dayton; daughters, Jennifer Brunoni of Ravenswood, W.Va., and Susan Blatt of Vienna, W.Va.; one brother, George Gale Binegar of Marietta; grandchildren, Sara Binegar Russo, Lara Brunoni, Dusty Binegar Jeffries, Mary Brunoni, Tommy Brunoni, and Jacob Brunoni; and one great-grandchild, Benjamin Russo.
