Daniel Thomas Stout

Daniel Thomas Stout, 65, of Lowell, died Saturday (Nov. 30, 2013) at his home.

He was born Feb. 1, 1948, in Wichita Falls, Kansas. He was a 1968 graduate of Fort Frye High School. Dan had worked in the oil fields, then retired from Union Carbide, following 28 years of service. He loved to fish, going to Amish country, and especially enjoyed talking to people. He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Church and the Lowell Senior Citizens.

Dan is survived by his wife, Cynthia Ward Stout; his loving stepmother, Marilyn Stout of Muskogee, Oklahoma; stepbrothers, Paul Randall (Shawn) of Akron and Jonathan Randall of Norman, Oklahoma; stepsisters, Alison Navas (Dexter) of Sacramento, California and Beth Wilkinson (Kevin) of Bixby, Oklahoma; sisters-in-law, Linda Forshey (George) of Watertown and Sandra Snelling (Tim) of Zanesville; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Thomas Clarkson and Thelma Landers Stout; and a brother-in-law, Roy Dean Ward, Jr.

There will be a memorial service held at 1 p.m. on Saturday (Dec. 7, 2013) at St. John’s Evangelical Church in Lowell, with Pastor Don Hart officiating. The family will greet friends at a reception following the service, at the church. Burial of his ashes will be in Smiths Chapel Cemetery in Hackney.
