Darlene Smith, 57, of Medina, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday (Dec. 8, 2013).
She was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan, on April 30, 1956, to Evan and Ida G. “Peachie” (nee Eros) Smith. Darlene was employed as a clerk/
cashier for 10 years at the Stop-N-Go in Chippewa Lake and also was a floral designer. She enjoyed fishing, wildlife, movies, and was a loyal Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She enjoyed life her way. Darlene didn’t leave anyone she met a stranger, she loved her family dearly.
Darlene is survived by her sons, Marcus Alan (Amsale) Esler, Leroy (Amanda) Clark; twin sister, Marlene Smith, and sister, Teri Lynn Zarnesky; three granddaughters; two grandsons; niece and nephews, Nicholas and Nathan Turrill, Rachel and Russell Jackson.
She was preceded in death by parents.
Memorial service will be held on Sunday (Dec. 15, 2013) at 1 p.m. at The Steiner Hall 800 Nottingham Drive, Medina, Ohio. Pastor Roy Symonds will officiate. Carlson Funeral Home 3477 Medina Road, Medina, Ohio, were entrusted with arrangements. Online memorials at www.carlsonfuneralhomes.
