Bette S. Pflug

Bette S. Pflug, 87, of Louisville, died Thursday (May 1, 2014) at Norton’s Hospital. She was born Bette Ruth Sinclair on Sept. 5, 1926, in Williamstown and was raised in Marietta, where all of her children were born.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother as well as a dear friend to many. She had an amazing sense of humor, a superior loyalty to her husband and family and a wonderful mind that never forgot a birthday. She loved living life. She was always truly devoted to her family and selflessly provided assistance whenever anyone was in need. She ran the good race and finished well, leaving smiles on the faces of those who cherish her memory.

She was an extremely active member of St Paul’s United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her three sons, David (Susan) Pflug of Swansea, Ill., Thomas Pflug of Louisville and Randy (Carla) Pflug of Delaware, Ohio; six grandchildren, Chris (Ashlea), Courtney and Kevin Pflug, children of David; Stephen (Amber), Laura Hanna (Brian), Ellen Jackson (Greg), children of Randy; and five great-grandchildren, Kye Pflug, Charlie Pflug, Micah Pflug, Smith Jackson and Molly Ruth Hanna.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 57 years, Albert Pflug Jr.

A memorial service to celebrate Bette’s life will be held at 2 p.m Sunday May 4 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 2000 Douglas Blvd. Burial will be private.
