Glen E. Stine

Glen E. Stine, 79, of Newport, OH, passed away, April 4, 2017, at Brookdale of Marietta. He was born, September 11, 1937, in Monroe County, OH, a son of the late Clem and Dollie Postlewaite Stine. He was retired from the former Ormet Corporation after 37 years of service. He was a member of the Church of Christ, and he served in the U. S. Army. He enjoyed walking and was known as the “Old Man with the Hat.” He also liked bicycling.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Virden Stine, four children, Tammy (Sam) Williamson of Newport, OH, Lesley (Donnie) Handschumacher of Reno, OH, Steven (Charlott) Stine of St. Marys, WV, and Brian Stine of Reno, OH, grandchildren, Zachary (Rachael) Tefft, Brittany Tefft, Samantha Williamson, and Cole Stine, three sisters, Gladys Neff, Betty Sternburg, and Norma Stine, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Stine.

Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017, at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV. Interment will be in the Newport Cemetery, with military graveside rites. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. An online guest register is available at www.ingramfh.com.
