Klayton David Johnson

Klayton David Johnson, 4, of Beverly, Ohio, earned his wings on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Klayton was born September 7, 2012 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, to Jason Johnson and Kendra Landaker and big brother Kameron Johnson. Klayton had an amazing, comedic spirit and touched everyone he knew with his twinkling eyes, his ornery smile and his love for life. He was fearless and funny, and absolutely thought he could do everything his big brother did. Klayton was small in size, but large in both personality and impact on all those who knew him. Klayton enjoyed riding four wheelers, camping and spending time with family and friends. Klayton is survived by his parents; big brother Kameron, of the home; Grandparents, Debbie and Jerry Beardmore of Waterford; Carl and Grace Landaker of Waterford; Krystal Landaker of Beverly and Gary and Brenda Johnson of Pomeroy; great grandparents, Betty Landaker (Ivan Clark); Betty VanHine; Karen Landaker and Sylvia Reed; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends which are considered family.

A private service for family and close friends will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Fifth Street Church of Christ in Beverly, with Evang. Zack Waite officiating. Burial will be in the Waterford Cemetery. Friends may call 2-8 p.m. on Friday at the Fifth Street Church of Christ. McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Beverly-Waterford Rescue Squad or the LA Fire and Rescue Squad. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.mccurdyfh.com.

The family expresses sincere thanks to the LA Fire and Rescue Squad, Beverly Volunteer Fire Department, Life Flight, and the staff at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Klayton will live on not only in others through his gifts of organ donation, but in the hearts of his family, friends and an entire community.
