James “Larry” Steele
James “Larry” Steele, 89, Belmont, passed away, Sunday, December 24, 2017 at his home surrounded by family. Born in Pleasants County, WV, on August 20, 1928, he was a son of the late John Melvin and Lillie May Smith Steele. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Belmont and a member of the Iron Workers Local 787. Larry was superintendent at Union Boiler in Williamstown for 30 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Debbie McFadden, and Dayle Ann (Anthony) Farris; one son, Larry Joe Steele; four grandchildren, Amy McFadden (Casey Edwards), Danielle McFadden, Bethany (Jon) Petry, and Adam (Roopan) Farris; six great-grandchildren, Carter Edwards, Colton and Hayden Petry, and Nora Grace, Greyson, and Weston Farris; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 60 years, Bonnie Jean Steele; five brothers, John, Emmett, Hobert, Lee, and Clark; five sisters, Mary, Audrey, Hattie, Maxine, and Gladys; and 3 infant siblings.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 29, 2017 at Ingram Funeral Home with Pastor Kelly Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Island Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 P.M.
