Charles Alan Grayson

Charles Alan Grayson, 60, of Marietta passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018, at his home. He was born May 7, 1957, in Marietta to Charles R. and Ella Joann Leak Grayson.

Chuck was a graduate of Marietta High School in 1975. He owned and operated his own construction company and people called him the “wood wizard.” He was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates baseball fan and enjoyed boating and Indy car racing. He loved his grandchildren.

On May 27, 1978, he married Barbara Kay Bruce who survives with daughter Chastity (Ben) Lang of Marietta and 3 sisters: Debbie Kephart (Chris) of Dublin, Gina Weinstock of Galloway, Ohio and Stephanie Townsend (Dave) of Longs, SC and grandchildren: Braxten, Colsen and Ella.

He was preceded in death by his son, Chance Grayson in 2011 and his brother, Sandy Grayson.

Funeral services will be held on Friday (April 6) at 10:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family at Lankfordfh.com.
