Marjorie Ann Jameson Cunningham

Marjorie Ann Jameson Cunningham, 91, of Marietta, OH (formerly of Hebron, WV) passed away peacefully on September 6, 2018, at Heartland of Marietta.

Marjorie was born on February 2, 1927, in Pike, WV to the late Clinton J. and Flossie V. Chalfant Jameson. She married William C. Cunningham (1928- 2014) on June 25, 1949. She is survived by their five children: Sharon (Greg) McCabe of Marietta, OH; Gloria (Paul) Leach of Wilmington, DE; Judy Cunningham of Marietta, OH; William K. (Debbie) Cunningham of Vienna, WV; and Wayne (Michelle) Cunningham of Gillette, WY. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; one sister, Grace Cox of St. Marys, WV; sister in law, Karen Jameson of Parkersburg, WV; her brother in law and sister in law Harvey & Frances Cunningham of Hebron, WV; and many nieces and nephews.

She was a proud graduate of Pennsboro High School with the class of 1945. Before marriage, Marjorie worked as a switchboard operator at St. Marys Hospital in Clarksburg, WV and then for WV Rig & Reel in Parkersburg, WV. After her children were reared, she was a substitute carrier with the U.S. Postal Service. She did book-keeping for the family farm and for the Marietta Bible Center Church and College of which she was a long-time member. She enjoyed crossword and jig saw puzzles, embroidery, and quilting.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Howard (Janet) Jameson and Glenn Jameson; sister, Helen (Jennings) Eddy; brother in law, Reed Cox; seven Cunningham in law couples; one niece and two nephews.

Funeral services will be 1pm, Monday, September 10, 2018, at the McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro, WV with Pastor Myron Guiler and Pastor Mark Coburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Lane Cemetery near Hebron, WV. Visitation will be 6pm-8pm on Sunday, at the funeral home.
