Franklin D. Davis
Franklin “Frank” Delano Davis, 81, of Belpre, OH passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on April 2, 1937 in Knox Township, OH to the late Dale and Mildred Koehnlein Davis.
Frank was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from teaching at the Washington County Career Center in 1998. He was a member of the Little Muskingum Congregational Church. He was a past master of American Union Lodge #1 F.&A.M., a member of Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge, Washington County Scottish Rite Club, Aladdin Shrine Temple, Columbus, OH, Marietta Shrine Club, Marietta Boat Club, American Legion Post #64 and the Cherry River Navy in Parkersburg, W.V.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Lynn Martin Davis; two daughters, Amber Cravens (David) of Clermont, FL, Shenya Davis (Rocky Huck) of Marietta, OH; two step daughters, Sherri Norman (Michael) of New Philadelphia, OH, Kristi Simmons (Mitchell) of Centerville, VA; four grandchildren, Dustin Becker, Josh Becker, Nathan Becker, Andrew Davis all of Marietta; seven step grandchildren, Ashley, Carli, Stephanie, and Anthony Norman, Eric, Evan and John Simmons; two brothers, Samuel Davis (Renee) of Coshocton, OH, Edward Davis (Lori Woodham) of Coshocton, OH; half brother, Dale Goddard (Vicky) of Marietta, OH and a special friend, Stacy Feldner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Marilyn Davis (1995); one brother, Don Davis and five sisters, June Snyder, Lillian Robuck, Carol Sue Thomas, Linda Kay Jones and Iva Schilling.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St., Marietta with Rev. Diann O’Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Monday, December 3, 2018 at the funeral home, where Masonic Services will be held at 8 PM.
