Ernest Ray Becker
Ernest Ray Becker, 85, of Archers Fork, OH, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2019. He was born on June 7, 1933 to Bessie and Ernest Harry Becker.
He graduated from Marietta High School in 1952 and attended Marietta College. He was a member of Mount Hope Church of Christ, the Ohio National Guard, he had worked at Broughton’s Dairy for many years and retired from Dupont. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
On May 15, 1955 he married Sara L. Westbrook who preceded him in death on February 9, 2019. He is survived by a daughter, Kristina (Jeff) Lauer and two sons, Ernest of Cleveland and Jeffrey (Melanie) of Reno. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Amanda (Don) Thomas, William Lauer and Wesley, Tim and Mandalyn Ludtman and great grandchildren, Krissy and Nick Thomas. He is survived by brothers-in-law, Delbert Westbrook and Gale Bartmess and sisters-in-law Margaret Westbrook and Jerry Westbrook and an aunt, Ruth Wallace.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sisters, Alice Corp and infant Edna Becker; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Becker; brothers-in-law, Ralph and Alfred Westbrook; sisters-in-law, Goldie Wagner, Janie Eddy and Lucille Bartmess.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, April 15, 2019 at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St., Marietta with Tim Fleeman officiating. Burial to follow in Eddy’s Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Monday.
