Zonta continues tradition of helping

Good clothes at a good price are a given at the Zonta Club’s semi-annual Unique Boutique, which finished up Saturday in the Frontier Shopping Center beside Tractor Supply.

Bargains draw the public to the fundraiser. Shoppers are always looking for a good buy (prices for clothes, accessories and more range from 50 cents to $10 at the sale). Donations of gently used clothing for women and children assure a wide selection of clothing for shoppers, too.

Many of the donors and shoppers are women, which is appropriate since Zonta is a community-wide organization for women in business and professions. Donors are encouraged to clean out their closets and it appears many people have responded over and over again for more than two decades.

The fall sale has a goal of raising money toward scholarships for non-traditional female students returning to college. This continues Zonta’s dedication to making the Marietta area a better community through its fundraising efforts.

Congratulations to the club, its dedicated members over the years, and the people who patronize the event whenever Zonta opens the doors. We look forward to supporting the next Unique Boutique.
