Uniting chambers will benefit two towns
While the name for the new chamber of commerce serving the Beverly and Waterford communities is a bit cumbersome, we fully support the idea of one chamber for the area.
For more than two decades, there have been two chambers that meet in Beverly, with membership rosters pretty close to identical at times. There didn’t seem to be a reason for division or for businesses to be members of both, when there could be one entity.
In less there a month there will be just that, with the new Muskingum Valley Beverly-Waterford Area Chamber of Commerce.
We’re glad the leaders of both organizations decided to finally team up. We think they both do good work and together will be even stronger.
Chambers can provide some important resources and promotion to local businesses. Combining forces could lead to more great things happening in the communities served.
