Appreciate miracles when they happen

Good news this week started in Thailand, where international rescuers pulled off the rescue of 12 boys and their soccer coach trapped inside a flooded cave.

But it doesn’t stop there. We had a miracle right here in the United States, too.

A clearly disturbed man told Montana authorities he had left a baby in the woods. They took him seriously and began searching and found the 5-month-old infant, clad only in a wet “onesie,” lying face-down in the dirt under a pile of sticks and other debris. He had been there at least nine hours. The temperature was 46 degrees.

He will be fine, according to the local sheriff’s office. “This is what we call a miracle,” the sheriff’s office stated.

Indeed. Bless all involved in saving the Thai soccer team and the Montana baby — and all in our area who would have pulled together to do exactly the same thing.
