Be an informed voter, attend levy meetings

One thing every Marietta resident seems to have in common when it comes to the Marietta City Schools bond issue is that we all have plenty of questions. Whether we want to know more about how the one-campus system will work, how increased traffic will affect the neighborhood or what will become of the current school buildings, there is plenty to dive into.

The levy committee has been giving the community a chance to ask these questions in an informal setting for the last couple of weeks, and there are plenty more opportunities planned. We appreciate that there are so many meetings scheduled, at different times of the day, to accommodate everyone.

Whether you think you’re going to vote against the levy or for it, and especially if you’re completely undecided or know little about it, take the opportunity to learn more. Be an informed voter. Don’t leave your questions unanswered.

The meetings remaining on the schedule are as follows, with all meetings in the lower level meeting room of the Washington County Public Library in Marietta:

¯ Today, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

¯ Tuesday, 10 a.m. to noon.
