Tax help is available for those in need locally
Caring Connection in Marietta is providing assistance to Washington County residents with free Federal and Ohio income tax returns. There is an income limit of $60,000 for 2012. Electronic filing is free, with quick direct-deposit of refund into your bank account. Assistance includes Earned Income Tax Credit and Additional Child Credit, if eligible.
If you had income in 2012, but were told it was not enough to file, it could be worth your time to file anyway. You could be eligible for the Earned Income Credit and/or a refund of any wages that were withheld for Federal or Ohio taxes.
There is no need to wait until March or April, Caring Connection can assist with your returns right now. The sooner you file the sooner you can receive a refund.
