Marietta Tiger Boosters thankful for support
On behalf of the Marietta Tiger Athletic Boosters, we would like to acknowledge and thank all those who were so generous and donated to our 5th annual Orange and Black Dinner held on March 9 at the Marietta Shrine Club.
Our dinner was a successful fundraiser thanks to CRJ Vending, DaVinci’s, Family Ford, FOP Lodge 12, Giant Eagle, Hensler’s Town and Country Market, Dr. John and Toni Henry, Memorial Health System, Oliver Garden, Pizza Hut, Pioneer Chevrolet, Triad/Hunter, United Door Group, Warren’s IGA, and The Wrangler/Brian McIntosh.
A big thank you to all area merchants in Marietta and Parkersburg as well as individuals who donated to our silent auction and/or live auction baskets put together by our many Marietta sports teams. Thank you to McLeish Auction Service who makes the auction run smoothly and raise so much money! We couldn’t do the auction without McLeish’s!
Thank you to Greg and Bob Dickson and the Knights of Columbus again for allowing us to use their ticket drawing board and barrel. Greg Kroft was once again a great host and Master of Ceremonies.
thank you to Scott at the Marietta Shrine Club for his help and to the band, The Faculty, for performing after the drawings.
Congratulations to all of the ticket winners and to everyone that purchased a ticket in support of our teams. All of the money raised will benefit all Marietta Tiger sports and athletes. This year, eight winners donated their money back to the event: Chris Brunton, Richard Dailey, Ryan Elliott, Dr. Bret Frye, Glen Hale, Dr. Jeff Hammons, Bill Lowers, and Dr. Piersol. Their generosity helps make the dinner more successful!
Lastly, thank you to the Marietta Tiger Boosters and their families, William Lee, Rick Guimond, and the Tiger coaches who helped serve the dinner and donated their time and energy to the event!
Mark your calendars for next year’s dinner – the date is Saturday, March 8, 2014, at the Marietta Shrine Club.
