MC effort raised $12,000 for cancer research

We would like to take this opportunity to give a heartfelt thanks to the Marietta community for the support we received at the St. Baldrick’s fundraiser event held at Marietta College on April 5. The volunteers and shavees from Marietta College, Belpre High School, Warren High School and Marietta High School, as well as the surrounding community helped to make the event a huge success. The great support that we received enabled us to surpass our $5,000 goal and raise nearly $12,000 to assist with childhood cancer research. We would like to give special thanks to the Muskingum Barber Shop, Marietta Times, WTAP Parkersburg, Marietta College women’s basketball team, DJ Correct, Smith’s Dairy Products, Warren’s Plaza IGA, and the various local businesses who donated prizes for our event.

For more information on how your donation is helping to make a difference, we invite you to visit St. Baldrick’s website at www.stbaldricks.org. You can also find information there on upcoming events for this year and volunteer opportunities.
