Moms group appreciates respect for fallen Marine

The Parkersburg RSS Marine Moms want to thank all of the many people and businesses that showered Lance Corp. Joshua Taylor’s family and loved ones with love, generosity and respect during their time of sorrow and grief. We want to also say a huge thank you the entire community for all of the thoughtfulness and support given during this difficult time.

We want to thank the wonderful Patriot Guards for the honor escort along with Hadley Funeral Home and Marietta High School for their generous support. To the Marines standing guard, “We salute you.” The Marine Moms appreciate all of the effort by American Legion Post 64 and VFW Post 5108 for serving meals, we say, “Well done.” Many local hotels donated rooms for traveling Marines, and several restaurants generously donated food. We appreciate how our wonderful community showered the family with the love and sympathy.

We give a special Marine thank you to Anita White, as well as, Jim and Sylvi Caporale for their tireless efforts. Among the things they were instrumental in securing were the several flags needed, plus the hotel rooms, gas cards and food cards necessary to help ease the financial burden for the many traveling Marines who came to pay their respects.

We very much appreciate the community and its kind and helpful words, deeds and gestures at a time when these things mean so much. We thank God for all of the support shown during this difficult time. We know Josh will always be remembered by us and the great community we share. Once again we Marine Moms say, “Thank you!”
