On behalf of the Marietta Band Boosters and band members, I would like to thank everyone who attended and contributed to the Marietta “Wall of Sound” Band fundraising dinner on May 3. We had a very enjoyable evening with entertainment provided by Marietta JAZZ 1 and solo performances by Meredith Haught and Liz Mason. Thanks to all of our silent auction donors: Andrea Kostelac, Peggy Ritchey, Desni Crock, Beth Spaziani, Chris Lisk, Rick and Susan Butler, Dorothy Peppel, Karen Lisk, Kyle Miller, Baker & Baker, Barb Palmer, Sopia Moretto, Tabitha Hubbard, Kim and Bill Reese, Wendy’s on Pike Street, K-tel 1 Teamwear, East of Chicago, Sally Norton, Cathy Cunningham, Hannah Holland and family, Settlers Bank, Schafer’s Leather, Craig and Cheryl Gibbs, Allison Lisk, Gil and Lauren Cunningham, Robin and Mark Haught, Chris Zimmer, Carol Ware, Sue Heddrick, WMOA Radio, Kay Eddy, Susie Snyder, Shaunia Cornwell, Antonia Swisher, Larry and Beth Palmer, Lloyd and Rita Crum and many anonyomous donors.

Also thank you to our cash prize winner Sam Lisk, who donated the $500 prize back to the band and to our 50/50 drawing Angie Scott who donated a portion of her winnings back to the band. Proceeds from this event will help with funding for the middle school and high school band programs.

On May 16 the group held a Smitty’s Pizza Day fundraiser. The band boosters would like to thank Smitty’s Pizza and the community for supporting this event.

Also we participated with Wendy’s on Pike Street to sell frosty tags. A portion of the sales from the tags will be donated to the band program. Thank you to Cindi Sims who helped us coordinate this event.

The Wall of Sound appreciates the communities support of all of our fundraising events. If you would like to make a donation to the band, please send to the Marietta Band Booster, P.O. Box 224, Marietta 45750. Any business that would like to become a corporate sponsor of the band please contact me at 376-9330.
