Fishing derby organizers appreciate assistance

The Washington County Fish and Game would like to express our gratitude for helping to make our annual 55-year fishing derby a success.

This year, a total of 385 people were in attendance with 180 kids that attended this event.

The names of the winners this year were the following, in these age categories: 1 to 6 years old – 18-inch catfish, Cali Carney, and an 8-inch pan fish, Dakota Hinton; 7 to 11 years old – 19 1/2-inch catfish caught by Caleb Knopp and an 8 1/2-inch panfish caught by Annie Billy; 12 to 17 years old – a 19 1/2-inch catfish caught by Stacy Gage and a 9 1/4-inch panfish caught by Layne Parks.

Again, thanks to all the volunteers and trustees for the many hours spent to make this a joyful event for all to participate.
