Marietta cemeteries group appreciates help
Marietta Cemeteries Coming Alive wishes to thank the Marietta Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution, for its generous donation which was presented to the group by SAR member Tony Durm. The donation is the first show of monetary support since Marietta Cemeteries Coming Alive established an account at the Marietta Community Foundation.
The funds that are deposited into this account will enable the group to further its initial goal of archiving the city’s cemetery records and making them available to the public, as well as preservation and restoration of markers in these cemeteries. Tax deductible donations may be sent to Marietta Cemeteries Coming Alive, in care of the Marietta Community Foundation, at P.O. Box 77, Marietta, Ohio, 45750.
Thanks also goes to Judy Phillips who generously provided a banner for the group that will be proudly displayed during work sessions or public activities. Vincent Mahoney created the graphic for the group that is displayed on the banner.
We would very much appreciate your support and we would encourage you to attend our next meeting at Marietta College’s Legacy Library on Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at 4 p.m.
