Muskingum Safetytown helped 80 children

Muskingum Valley Safetytown for 2013 has been completed. More than 80 children ready to enter kindergarten in the fall participated in the two-week program.

Thanks to the teachers: Heidi Fryman, Dawn Spurr and Sue Sampson and to the 35 volunteers who helped the teachers with the students each day.

Lessons on topics of farm, stranger, bully, bus, bicycle and helmet, water, poison, fire, emergency and first-aid, backpack, hand washing, electrical, home, and pet safety were taught through videos, speakers, demonstrations and activities.

Without the help of the community, we would be unable to present this program to our local children. We feel we had a successful Safetytown this year and look forward to the same next year with your help.
