Even without boats, Roar was a success

Recent events have shown once again that bad weather can’t keep a great city down. The Marietta Riverfront Roar board and committee would like to thank the sponsors, patrons, vendors, volunteers, and community for supporting the 2013 Roar. While unsafe river conditions prevented our annual boat races, the Roar committee put together a weekend full of free and fun activities including nonstop live entertainment featuring local talent, Run For The Roar 5K Run and Walk, Roars Got Talent Show, Kids Zone, fireworks, vendor displays, K-9 and smoke house demonstrations by Marietta police and fire departments, Columbus Zoo Safari, great food, and much more.

This event would not be possible without the cooperation of the Marietta and Williamstown city administrations, police and fire departments and we greatly appreciate their efforts to help make our event as safe as possible for everyone.

Thanks again to all who supported this annual event and we look forward to seeing you the second weekend in July for the 14th Annual Marietta Riverfront Roar.
