Local support a big boost for Reno VFD
On behalf of Reno Volunteer Fire Department, I would like to thank all of those who contributed to this year’s fireman’s festival, held in July at Pioneer Chevrolet. We have so many people who donate their time and money to make this event a success year after year. Without the support of our local businesses and the residents of our community our festival wouldn’t be possible and our department wouldn’t be what it is today.
There are so many people who contribute to our success and we couldn’t begin to mention them all; however, you know who you are and you are appreciated. An appreciation dinner is being planned (next spring) for all of you.
I would like to give a special thanks to Ron Padgitt and Pioneer Chevrolet in Reno for generously allowing us to use space at the dealership for our festival. Year after year, we are reminded of how close the community of Reno is and also how supportive our businesses and residents are of our department. We appreciate everything the community has done to support us and our dedicated members will continue to provide the best possible service to all the people who live and work here.
If you are interested in becoming a part of the fire department, or if you have any questions about the department, feel free to attend one of our regular meetings, held Monday evenings at the department at 7 p.m. If you are able, please consider becoming a volunteer firefighter.
