EVE’s chocolate event moves to the Betsey

Over the past 25 years, EVE, Inc. has sponsored an annual fundraiser devoted to chocolate.

Now, planning our 26th event, we are moving to a new location.

This year we will hold our first Chocolate at the Betsey!

On Sunday, Feb. 16, Chocolate at the Betsey will take place at the Betsey Mills Club, Fourth and Putnam streets in Marietta.

As always, Chocolate at the Betsey will feature chocolate items cut in small pieces to allow for tasting many.

We also will have fruit, lemonade, coffee and good conversation.

We will open the doors from 1 until 4:30 p.m. Individuals will be $10, children 12 and under are $5, and a family of four or more at $25.

We ask that members of the community – individuals, families, community groups or businesses – donate the chocolate items that will be served. If you wish to donate, please contact either the EVE shelter (374-5820) or any board member.

Items need to be delivered to the Betsey Mills Club by noon on Feb. 16.

We want to express our gratitude to the Levee House Restaurant (David and Kim Hearing) and the Levee House Cafe (Harley Noland) for their support and hospitality. They have fostered our success from the beginning, and we thank them sincerely. But now we need more space.

We hope you will join us Feb. 16 for our Chocolate at the Betsey, or donate a chocolate item to share with us!
