Car washing is truly a rite of spring in the Valley

Waiting in line – as is the case for most others – is one of my least favorite means of spending time, but a few days ago I found myself treasuring the opportunity. How ironic that months of ice, sleet, snow, and record-low-temps could cause me to cherish one of my pet peeves. With vehicles of every shape, color and size tightly packed into what surely appeared as dominoes from a distance, we all waited our turn – patiently – for the privilege of ridding everything from the surface of our vehicles that wasn’t part of the sticker price. It’s a rite of passage once spring arrives to rid the remnants of the cold, and regardless of the season reflected on our calendars, mine screamed spring as I happily waited in line.
