Former commissioner endorses candidate
I personally endorse Rick Walters as the candidate for Washington County commissioner for the following reasons. He has been a small business owner in Washington County for 34 years. He has been actively involved with (NFIB) National Federal of Independent Business for 25 years and the Area Action Council chairman for over seven years. He is the current chairman of the Muskingum Valley Area Chamber of Commerce and served as a director for five years prior to being named the chairman. He is in his last year as trustee for NAIFA-Ohio. He is a member of the Beverly Lions Club, Sons of American Legion Post 389, American Legion Riders, Aladdin Shrine, Mount Moriah Lodge 37, Rufus Putnam Chapter 108 and Beverly Waterford Chamber of Commerce.
He has been involved in coaching little league baseball and Pee Wee basketball over the last 25 years. He is married with three adult children. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from owning and working with other small business owners in matters such as budgeting, payroll, tax issues, employee benefits, insurance, workers compensation and legislative issues.
