Belpre’s Class of 2014 truly exceptional
An open letter to the Class of 2014 at Belpre High School:
In a few days, you will graduate from Belpre High School. May 18 will probably be the last time you’ll all be together. Thirteen (yes, it’s been 13) years ago, you maybe apprehensively started kindergarten. After you found out “I’m going to be here for 13 years) you settled in for your learning “career.” You made friends; you had way too much homework (you thought), you aced a test here and there; you didn’t fare as well as you thought, but you made it! Your teachers and your family did a good job with you.
Belpre Class of 2014, you will be remembered for your sports, your academic achievements, but you will also be remembered as a kind and compassionate bunch of kids.
I am one of Jacob Coffman’s grandmas and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for making our special needs boy feel really special.
God bless you all and best of luck as you cross that stage and receive your diplomas. In more than one way, you earned it!
