May 13 meeting a chance to help at city’s dog park

It seems one of the best kept secrets is the Marietta Community Dog Park, located at Jackson Hill Park, 1201 Cisler Drive, Marietta. It’s an off-leash exercise and play area for dogs and their handler/person. The construction of the dog park, the new activity shelter, and refurbishment of the basketball court have all been accomplished by volunteers, individual and company donations, and as part a recipient of a Healthy Communities grant from the Washington County Health Department.

All improvements and maintenance are provided by volunteers and funded through donation. We need you to help us continue.

Dog park meeting: 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, at the Jackson Hill Park Activity Shelter. It will be a brainstorming session, and where anyone can volunteer to sign up for summer projects.

Hot dogs, condiments, and ice cold water will be provided. If you wish to bring a dish or dessert to share, please call Teresa, 350-6249. Please bring a lawn chair.
