Thanks to community for support of boy
A benefit concert with Anthony Mossburg was held at Frontier High School for little Toby Bigelow and his family on July 12. I would like to thank the following for supporting this event whether financially, or by volunteering: Haessely Lumber Company, Inland Wood Products, J. Eddy Oil Gathering, Wetz Companies, Muskingum Valley Baptist Church, Pleasant Hill U.M.C., Ron’s Porta Johns, Frontier Board of Education, Frontier Athletic Boosters, WTAP TV, The Marietta Times, Parkersburg News and Sentinel, WMOA Radio, Anthony Mossburg, Libbi Hatfield, Rob McPeek, Melvin Robinson, Bill Creighton, Zach Reese, Joani Reese, Fred Yanda, Scott Eddy, Justin Moody, Dawn Gutberlet, Shannon Northrop, Tara Hayes, Sheryl Morris.
All those who donated baked goods for concessions, and last but not least all those who attended to support Anthony in his musical talent, and of course Toby!
Toby is 8 years old from Newport. He was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) in December 2013. ALL is an aggressive cancer which attacks the white blood cells and bone marrow, and unfortunately if not diagnosed early has a very low survival rate. However, if diagnosed early, children have a 65 percent to 85 percent survival rate. Toby will face chemo treatments for the next 2 1/2 years. I can’t imagine having to deal with the worry of caring for a sick child, and the financial burden that comes along with that.
Please continue lifting this little boy and his family up in prayer.
